Top 21 weeks of Australian Idol 2024
Yesterday four out of 21 made it to the top 12. On today’s episode we will sill who are the next 4 performers to reach top 12.

Performance: Think (Aretha Franklin)
The real pearl of the show. To perform first today comes on stage Amy Reeves. Singing before she could even learn ABC she has some true depth to her voice. Performing today “Think” by Aretha Franklin. Surprisingly she was caught with a cold during her rehearsals. How well did she perform?

Trent Richardson
Heaven (Bryan Adams)
The cowboy Trent has been performing all that he could, going through the challenges. Today he has to give it his best, push to the limits in his transformation to make it to the top 12. He chose to perform “Heaven ” by Bryan Adams. Will a bit of nervousness get to him on the stage?

“It’s a big song you chose and welcome to being a singer” commented Marcia. You performed well, she added.
With Amy agreeing on that she added it’s mesmerizing to watch you perform. The vocals are not top notch but you have a lot of charisma, you’ve got so much and we will love to see more from you. Kyle agreed on that point
Natasha Rose
Part of Me(Katy Perry)
The lady in red, the true popstar, wanted just to prove that she got what the Australian idol needed. Natasha is a great performer, tonight she chose Katy Perry’s song “Part of Me” and her pitch was not that great when she went onto rehearsals.
To which the judges added
“I think you look like a superstar, but you have chosen the most challenging genre in the world. Your vocals are not yet phenomenal, but I would love to see you get there,” said Amy.
Marcia advised finding stillness and improving pitch to enhance the performance. Kyle added by saying, “You were nervous that you muted yourself”.
Issac McCallum
Say you Won’t Let Go (James Arthur)
He had an incredible transformation, from being homeless and pushing a regular trolley to performing on the Australian Idol show. He has just been a phenomenal performer since audition. Although his past has been pulling him back but now, he is all in the show.
Performing James Arthur’s “Say You Won’t Let Go” with his amazing voice and act that made the judges emotional. The judges loved him.

“You’re such a superstar! Your confidence, appearance, and everything you’ve overcome really impressed me,” said Amy, who also gave him the deserved Fast Pass to the top 12. “It was excellent,” added Kyle.
Ivana Ilic
Remember (David Guetta)
The family girl Ivana with her support system, came in to support her and so she proved everyone right she just lit the show on fire. She performed “Remember” by David Guetta. Almost perfect. Oh! man what a great power she holds in her vocals, it’s just mesmerizing.
The judges loved her performance and praises and even Kyle commented,” That’s exactly what you’re supposed to do. It felt like a concert”.
Amy added on to saying you just know how to give a performance, I am never nervous about you.
Jackson Smith
Hero (Enrique Iglesias)
Jackson just had his baby No. 2 recently. A couple of days have been hectic and tiring for him. Performing “Hero” by Enrique Iglesias just wanted to give and dedicate the song to his wife, his superhero, who gave him two big boys.
He gave it all to make it the best performance ever watching from the stance his wife and his baby seemed proud of him.

“Your vocals were not there” said Amy. It was true the week had been hectic for him.
“I am not saying that your vocals were great but it was not on point”, pointed out Marcia. The judges were impressed with how he performed and expressed their gratitude
“I think you have a lot in you” added Kyle and he wanted to see more and not let this be his last performance.
The last to perform on stage is the singer from the Gold Coast, Saoirse
Saoirse Hoarding
No Scars To Your Beautiful (Alessia Cara)
Judges wanted to see more from her when she performed last. This time with transformation and much much improvement comes the Gold Coast Girl. Singing “No Scars To Your Beautiful” by Alessia Cara. She is a star, she performed like a star. Was it enough and was it great?

“You’re flawless when you come back, I don’t want you to fade away” advised Kyle
“Find some more hunger” from Marcia she commented to her to push yourself.
“I just wish you did something special” from Amy. Will she make it to the top 12? We can only hope for it.
