Why is the American show Buying Hawaii not coming for season 2?
After the 1st Season in the year 2013 – 14, there was no update on the upcoming season 2 for a long time before it was called canceled by Destination America due to consistently low ratings, negative reviews, and decreasing viewership with every passing episode.
A report by Reality TV World stated that the average viewership for the first episode of the season was approximately 560,000, and both the viewership and ratings degraded here onwards.
Negative reviews and the low rating were just one side of the coin; in addition to this, natives from Hawaii and the general population of the nation criticized the show for negatively portraying the island state.
Some stated that the show was produced with the intention of showing the negatives of Hawaii, including the lack of job opportunities, the astonishingly high cost of living, and the always-present threat of natural disasters
